Ukrainian hryvnia
The hryvnia ( (hə-)RIV-nee-ə; Ukrainian: гривня [ˈɦrɪu̯nʲɐ] , abbr. грн hrn; sign: ₴; code: UAH) has been the national currency of Ukraine since 2 September 1996. Each hryvnia, the base unit, is divided into 100 kopiyka (sometimes called kopecks in English; Ukrainian: копійка). It is named after a measure of weight used in Kievan Rus'.
Croatian Kuna
The kuna (pronounced [kǔːna]; sign: kn; code: HRK) was the currency of Croatia from 1994 until 2023, when it was replaced by the euro. The kuna was subdivided into 100 lipa. It was issued by the Croatian National Bank and the coins were minted by the Croatian Mint. In the Croatian language, the word kuna means 'marten' and lipa means 'linden tree', both references to their historical use in medieval trading.
